This morning I walked to the health centre for a blood test. It was a beautiful morning, a strong low sun and for December very mild, so I walked down to the Loop Line (the old railway line that ran through the Potteries) and is now a walkway and went that way and then through the Memorial Gardens. It is about mile walk and I took about 150 photographs and below are a sequence. They were shot in the format shown and haven’t been cropped. I find shooting square really interesting as the limitations add to my looking for compositions. I also find that shooting in black and white is interesting, something we couldn’t do in film cameras we had to think what the black and white image would look like in the colour image. As there are so many images I have made them smaller, but if you click them they will enlarge.
