Still Life #6

Still LIfe #6

This weeks’ Still Life.

This is a project for 2014, each object or sub grouping of objects represents one day, which I write down each day and gather together each Friday to photograph against the same background, in the same place using natural light and the same 4×3 format. These objects may be actual things from the day or something which represents an event, feeling or happening. So, in this weeks’, the jar of water is rainwater I gathered on one wet day; the tapes represent the fact that I have started to listen to all of Beethoven’s Piano Sonatas; the stone for when I went to see Richard Long’s exhibition at the City Museum. So hopefully by 31st December 2014 I will have gathered 52 photographs with 365 ‘objects’.

I like to think of them as short visual poems, maybe visual haiku.
