These are photographs from my Streets Project. This is Adams Avenue in Tunstall. These types of housing and streets cover vast acres around many British towns and cities, private housing built in the 1930’s as a part of ‘ribbon’ development and an increasing ‘wealth’. Within the half mile around my flat this is quite unusual. Adams Avenue is no more than 100yds long, it then changes to one of the old lanes which has been cut off and used as a footpath. It is off the A50/High Street and at the far end there is a house and yard of a travelling funfair owner and a privately run travellers’ park.
