Broomhill Street is probably the oddest one within the Streets Project. Not only is it quite a steep hill (as many Tunstall streets are), it is also built on the side of a hill. On the east side the houses have steep steps, one new development remarkably so! On the other side the backs are much lower than the housefronts. Most of the houses are terraces, with strange short side streets with almost Germanic style houses on them. At the top is Tunstall Cemetary which wraps along the west side. The street sort of starts there, though there is little indication. At the bottom it leads onto Clay Hills. Few people who don’t live on the street would actually travel along it as it is like an elongated D. Odd place indeed.
