Renegade Readers – April 2015

Renegade Readers met again on April 30th at Newcastle-under-Lyme Library, as always it was a real mix of various styles and forms of writing read out.

This included:

A passage from Gunter Grass‘ novel The Tin Drum

A selection from Emmanuels Book 2 – The Choice for Love by Pat Rodegast and Judith Stanton

W.B Yeats‘ poems – Fergus and the Druid and To a Friend whose work has come to nothing

A passage from Donna Tartt‘s novel The Goldfinch

Benjamin Zephaniah‘s poem What If a quite wonderful reworking of Kipling’s If

A selection from Dear Lupin Letters to a Wayward Son –  Roger and Charlie Mortimer

Trevor read his short story All Change

So an eclectic selection and always a pleasure to hear people read.
