Undergrowth

I walked along the disused Loop Line railway to go for a blood test today. Strong sun, chilly, beautiful February day. The old cutting is where Tunstall railway station used to be and the sides have been covered by large trees and at this time of year the undergrowth is accessible, dead leaves not removed by the winter winds alongside some evergreen leaves catching the sun, the low sun highlighting the bark on the tree trunks.
