Spring Sunday

It’s been a sunny chilly Spring morning in Tunstall. I planned to walk with Oskar (my mad dog) down to the marl hole (where they used to dig clay for the pottery industry and are now deep ‘lakes’) to take some photographs of reflections as well as the new growth, but whoever owns the land around has placed about twenty pigs on it and along with mechanical digging made it almost impossible to get down there. So my photographs are of butterfly like green shoots; reeds; undergrowth. This is all within 10 minutes walk from where I live; Stoke-on-Trent is an old industrial city with some amazing edgelands and wastelands now left to nature.
