Well that was an interesting meeting. The readings were as usual quite remarkable and the discussion swung between the qualities of long thick novels, the steel industry, French philosophy during the Second World War, the plays of Samuel Beckett, translated works, and more which I seem to have forgotten! There is no theme and any genre, type or style of writing is most welcome, it’s a great opportunity to hear things you haven’t heard or read before or maybe to reacquaint yourself with something.
