One of the main places I went and photographed is now being flattened, the process started last year and is now in full swing. The old disused Clanway Lane leading out of Tunstall was lined with trees and shrubs, it was messy and wild, to one side a rough feral edgeland, full of interest – this is now being dug up for factory/warehouse units, jobs of course and that’s a good thing, but for me it’s a pity to lose an open space and one in which I found a great deal of interest.
Today I walked along the lane which last year used to look like this –

Changes happen, so I’d urge people to photograph places before they forget what they were like.
