The Face of Stoke-on-Trent – The Official Opening

Yesterday (Saturday 25th November) The Face of Stoke-on-Trent was unveiled to the public. It was a bitterly cold day and a lovely event. As well as the Face of Stefan, there are panels featuring all those who were photographed or who sent photographs, plus, on a disused pub nearby 20 enlarged images including my friends’ son Reece. It was wonderful to see how everyone there searched for their picture and those of family and friends, perhaps a natural reaction, and I found one of me aged about 30 months (with thick blond hair!) I had sent in. Rebecca from B.Arts presented me (and other photographers who’d worked on it) with a box of chocolates, which was very nice. If you get a chance go and see it, it is near Hanley Bus Station and The Victoria Hall.
