On my journey last week I had just over an hour to wait for my train from Bordeaux to Agen. My bag was quite heavy so wandering around town was not on, although I certainly will spend time next time I go there as Bordeaux looks very interesting, so I spent time looking round the quite impressive station. The roof is quite wonderful, maybe not Koln, but very fine and I have always had an interest in trains so sitting having excellent coffee watching trains and the environment was very pleasant. There is a huge wonderful map from the early 20th Century of the comprehensive railway system of the South West now like in the UK stripped down. These photographs were taken on my phone so are a bit limited in quality.
